I got my start with a 20-year career in the United States Navy Seabees.  Over 28 years of mechanical and electrical experience dealing with automotive, trucking, and heavy equipment repair. I also have in-depth experience in residential and commercial electrical and building experience. Being well rounded, I am able to transfer those skills confidently to the RV world. I have built two of my own electrical systems in my 39′ 5th wheel. The first was to get us on the road, the second was to make us comfortable. My wife and I have been able to travel full time around the country and avoid the growing costs of RV parks and campgrounds because of our upgrades.

Traveling with friends, I find myself playing the lead role or assisting in many system designs and installs. I created a solar group online that allows for the sharing of ideas and experiences for the DIY’er. Over the last five years, off-grid RV power systems have been a major focus in my daily life. I have the opportunity to work closely with several components manufacturers to include Battle Born Batteries and Victron Energy. Through these interactions, I am able to stay on top of the latest advancements in the field.

Are you looking for someone with experience to assist you in your DIY solar design and install tips? Just want to double-check your planned electrical upgrades? I have several consulting options available to help get you to a comfort level that will allow you to do the installation yourself. This allows you to save labor costs and completing the job done on your schedule, all while teaching you how your system functions.
